Club Nintendo Japan Gold/Platinum Rewards!CN 2015 CalenderDigital Game: Picross+ Gold members will receive the CN 2015 CalenderPlatinum members will receive both rewards!Sad news: It seems like they will be dropping the Gold/Platinum system completely according to the official email...and apparently you won't get points for new hardware anymore either, just games from now on...I think i know why Nintendo decide to cancel gold/platinum system. Because too many people are holding back the codes once they get gold/platinum status so they gonna try a different way~ Club Nintendo JP site will be down for maintenance and after the 30th of September

Yes, this year will be the last year for the Gold/Platinum membership system. Club Nintendo JP will still be around. Just that it will become harder to collect points since starting Oct, only games will have CN points...

Than how they going to distribute the gift without the status system?? Lame Nintendo Club Nintendo will still be around, just no more gold/platinum ranking system so you can still exchange for gifts regularly through points. Just that it is harder to get points as only games will carry those CN codes, all other Nintendo hardware, consoles, accessories & amiibo will no longer have CN codes unfortunately

I guess Nintendo just doesn't wish to spend more on the free gifts to the users as they have been losing lots of $$ yearly.
It's just a gd excuse for them to help them from spending unnecessary $$

Which is why I think from now on, certain rewards will pair up with the release of the games. One good example is Super Smash Bros for 3DS/WiiU, they running this promo where u register both games on CN and u will receive the OST~
